Your first Squishy Tower session
Join, unmute, touch spawn, then treat paw pads and dumplings as the real tutorial.
Squishy Tower does not start with a voiced tutorial. You join a public server, your avatar snaps to R6, and the first squishy floor is already making noise. This page is the first-session plan: how to join, why sound is not optional, what spawn and checkpoints do, how paw pads and dumpling floors teach the game, and when coins are worth chasing before you have a win.
The experience is free on Roblox, released 20 May 2026 by Aru Games. Servers cap at 50 players. Other climbers can share the same pads, but nobody has to wait for your jump. Treat this as an independent climb inside an online lobby, not a co-op campaign. If you want the full-tower plan after this hour, jump to How to Beat. If you only need the map of every article, return to the Guides Hub.
Join the experience
Open Squishy Tower on Roblox and drop into any public instance. You should receive the Welcome Squishy Tower badge almost immediately; it is the join badge, not a skill check. Confirm you are in the Aru Games place and not a copy with a similar name. The links hub keeps the official experience and the Aru Games group in one list if you need to double-check.
Your avatar morphs to R6. Classic R6 jumps are shorter and more vertical than many R15 games. If your usual muscle memory is a long dash or a wall-run, park that here. Read Controls after this session if camera or jump height still feels wrong.
Look at the floor under your feet before you sprint. Spawn is a checkpoint, not a safe room you can ignore. If you walk off the edge immediately, you will learn the fall rule the hard way: you return to the last checkpoint, which at this point is spawn. Details live on Checkpoints.
Turn the sound on
uwucutesingle built Squishy Tower as an ASMR climb. The pads, keycaps, food, and squishies are meant to be heard. Mute the game and you lose the timing cue that tells you a surface compressed, a Needoh-like pad is still sinking, or you landed clean. Set Roblox volume up, disable music overlays from other apps, and keep voice chat from drowning the mix if your server is loud.
The creator showcase is the best first look at how those floors are supposed to feel. Watch it once with headphones before you treat the climb as a silent obby. After that, keep audio on for every attempt, including retries after a kill brick. Sound is also covered as a movement tool on the controls page, because it is not decoration.
First floors: paw pads and dumplings
The early climb is supposed to teach two habits. Paw pads are wide, cute, and easy to trust. They still have edges, and kill bricks can hide under or beside a squishy that looks friendly. Step onto the pad, wait a beat so you feel whether it is solid or starting to swallow your legs, then jump. Do not mash jump the instant you touch a paw.
Dumpling and bun floors change the silhouette. Platforms look like food, so depth is harder to read than a flat stud. Aim for the center of a dumpling, not the decorative rim. If a bun sits next to a darker part, assume the dark part might be a kill brick until you have seen someone else stand on it.
You will meet other themed stages later — keycaps, strawberries, two cheese sections, bananas, hamburger fast-food, butter, and the ASMR squishies the creator called a favorite. Do not try to catalog every floor on run one. Mark what you saw on the floor checklist after you die or win, and compare difficulty later on the floor tier list. The parent tier list hub can wait until you have opinions.
Checkpoints on the first run
Touch every checkpoint you pass. Falling sends you back to the last one, which is the entire point of a tower obby. A skip that looks obvious on a thumbnail often crosses a sink pad or a hidden brick. For session one, the rule is simple: if you can step on the save, step on the save.
Do not reset from the Roblox menu unless the server is broken. A character reset that ignores your checkpoint progress is a waste of a clean early climb. Harder routes and hard mode are a later problem. Your first hour is about building a checkpoint chain you trust.
When to collect coins
Coins exist on the climb and later feed blind boxes, which the creator has talked about on stream. They are not a first-session win condition. Grab a coin when it sits on your line and does not require a dive toward a kill brick. Skip a coin that hangs over a sink pad you have not learned. You can farm coins after you know the route; you cannot farm a good mood after six cheap deaths. Shop details belong on Coins and Blind Boxes, not in a first-hour panic.
There are no public promo codes as of September 2026, so do not stall at spawn typing strings from other squishy games. Glance at codes and how to redeem so you know the habit, then climb.
What a first session should earn
A good first session is not a speedrun. It is: sound on, Welcome badge in the inventory, two or three themed floors understood, at least one checkpoint beyond spawn, and a mental note of any kill brick that surprised you. If you reach the summit, take the win and read how to beat before you loop for extra clears on wins. If you do not, you still made progress — Completed Squishy Tower sits around an 81 percent award rate, which means most players finish, just not always on attempt one. Track that badge on badges and the rest of the players hub.
When you are ready for more than onboarding, skim updates and the launch recap for what changed since 20 May 2026. Extra utilities live in tools. If you are tempted by executors, read scripts only after script safety. None of those pages replace jumping on a paw pad with the volume up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Squishy Tower questions.
Do I need to finish a tutorial before I climb?
No. Spawn is the tutorial. Unmute, touch the first checkpoint, and treat paw pads plus dumpling floors as the lesson. Then open How to Beat if a later stage stalls you.
Why does my avatar look different after I join?
Squishy Tower morphs everyone to R6. Jump arcs are classic Roblox, not R15 parkour. Recheck controls if the camera or jump height feels shorter than you expected.
Should I collect every coin on my first run?
No. Take coins that sit on your path. Leave anything that hangs over a kill brick or a sink pad. Farm later using Coins and Blind Boxes.
Can friends carry me through the first floors?
They can stand in the same 50-player server, but climbs are independent. There is no split-screen or campaign hand-holding. Share a checkpoint habit, not a co-op queue.
What should I do after the Welcome badge?
Keep climbing. Welcome is a join badge. The skill badge is Completed Squishy Tower, tracked on badges. Use the floor checklist to remember which themes you already saw.
